From the Val d'Anniviers to the Furka pass, on the left bank of the Rhône, the Valais Alps present a string of prestigious peaks, starting with the famous 4000 of Zinal and Saas Fee, but also wilder or more intimate regions such as the Simplon Pass, the Binntal and the Goms valley.
 This guide presents 121 routes, including 23 on peaks over 4000 meters, which range from easy hiking to the frontiers of extreme skiing.
 Many of them are classics. However, among the races described, several of them are little practiced, some even remain confidential. On the other hand, if we take into account the descriptions of the variants of the chosen routes, this is an exhaustive directory of races in Haut Valais.
 As with all the works in the collection, a technical sheet accompanies each race, as well as a schematic sketch with a route layout. Color photographs complete this guide, which remains the reference in the field.
