Between Mont Dolent and Pointe de Zinal, between the Rhône valley and the Italian border, in addition to
 the famous Haute Route (described entirely from Chamonix to Zermatt), central Valais offers countless possibilities for ski racing.
 The races chosen in this guide are aimed at hikers or ski mountaineers of all levels. However, you should know that the mountains are generally high, and therefore have longer access than in a secondary massif. Also most of these races require good physical condition.
